Blending Trials
With 6 different wines: Grenache 1, Grenache 2, Syrah, Grenache Blanc (white), and Grenache Blanc (orange)… we held a tasting session wherein the WGS/ENS 385 Course – Applied Sustainable Wine Production and Sensory Analysis – learns how to determine whether blending different quantities of each wine augment or or lessen the positive qualities of the individual wines. In this instance, we decided to blend Grenache 2 with Syrah and age the new wine in our barrel.
